We accept referrals for abdominal, renal, postmicturition volume, pelvic and testicular ultrasound examinations as a NHS service for patients 4 years of age and above.
Referrals are excluded for suspected testicular torsion, ovarian torsion or acute appendicitis as the patient is best referred to the A&E Department immediately.
When you want to refer a patient for a diagnostic ultrasound examination to us you can choose between three different referral routes. Please choose the one you find most convenient.
Fax referrals
You can fax a referral to us. You might find it helpful to use our referral form, which you can download and print off for further use. Our fax number is 02476 364 709

Once we have received the referral via fax we will ring the patient to arrange a convenient appointment time, provided we have a valid day-time phone number.
CAB referrals
On the CAB web-site you will find DUC in the Directory of Services under the Speciality Diagnostic Imaging under Clinic Type Ultrasound. Each examination type, such as abdominal, renal, pelvic testicular scans, are listed seperately for DUC, in order to allow on-line booking in due course.
